My name is Sutawanee Duke, though many

know me as Vicky. I am the owner, head chef and

manager of Thai Station.

I was born and raised in a big family in Thailand,

where food was the heart of our home. Every day,

my grandparents, aunts, uncles, siblings, and cousins gathered to cook and share homemade meals together. Our houses were all built close to each other, so cooking and eating as a family was simply part of everyday life.

From a young age, I helped in the kitchen , starting with small tasks until cooking became second nature. I never went to culinary school; I learned through love, tradition, and generations of family meal passed down through time.

When I moved to the United States, I realized how much I missed the taste of real home-cooked Thai food. I started cooking every day for myself, and my husband eventually asked, “Why don’t you open your own restaurant so you can enjoy Thai food every day?”

That simple question became the beginning of Thai Station Restaurant.
Cooking isn’t just my passion, it’s my way of sharing the warmth, flavor, and togetherness of Thai family meals with everyone who visits us.
